  1. 1705 Used to grab pickles/olives from jar.
    1707 Standing toaster used in hearth cooking, not to be confused with roaster which has a drip pan.
    1708 Jaws of life.

  2. 1709 is a thimble worn on the palm used by sailmakers or leather workers to push a needle through heavy cloth or leather.

  3. 1706- Wow! I thought I would never see another one of these!
    I restored a unique Victorian lawn glider some years back. This is one of two rocker assemblies used in its construction. These sat on a railed frame and the super structure with two opposing seats with canvas roof sat on top. The rods were to limit the travel and keep them positioned.

  4. 1710-"Dipstick" guage for measuring amount of liquid in a specific container.Readings are translated by an accompanying chart.
    Stainless steel would indicate possible"food grade"application.

    It could be used for that, though the patent title mentions it used with something else

    It was marked "roaster", probably got separated from its pan
